This Book Club Edition fails to list a date of publication. What it does list are the publication dates, or rather, copyright dates of each of the books; The Citadel in 1937, and The Keys of the Kingdom in 1941. The Citadel is an attack on the Medical Establishment, and The Keys of the Kingdom is a story of a priest who comes into conflict with the establishment and spends his life in a Chinese mission, where he finds the 'keys' to God's kingdom. Previous owner's name stamped upside down inside the front cover, an 'X' in magic marker on the dust jacket on the bottom of the spine, and inside the front cover on the endpaper. Spine is tight, book is clean.

Front endpaper missing before my grandfather bought the book, because he has written his name on the top of the title page, and he always writes it on the facing endpaper. Clothbound, dark green with full color litho on the front cover, white lettering worn from spine. Wear to the edges, cprners, and hinges. As with all of my grandfather's books, this one has been read, and carefully moved from private library to private library for over 100 years. Sale for the education of the next generation (and namesake).
