This is a 1921 version of Cliff notes. Ms. Grames has "adapted" Les Miserables into a 32 page summary of the story of Jean Valjean. The Book has a blue cloth binding with black lettering, and is held together by three staples. The condition is remarkable for a book this age, as the only loosening of the staples is in the center four pages, one sheet has begun to come loose. This book is withdrawn from the library, so it has glue residue around the base of the spine. A beautiful little antique book, especially for students of Classical Literature. There is an handwritten note in the front cover: "West Point Dist.23" it says. it also has some stamped names of the library inside the covers. The back cover has the Dewey Decimal code written and some marks . the pocket has been torn out, leaving a scar inside the back cover. Our book number 762.

As a college student the engineer who owned this book used it to assist him in the repair of bootleggers' state-of-the-art radios at Sam's Radio Shop in Tulsa. This book has been through a flood. The research engineer who owned the book dried it very carefully in the sun, but the glue has sagged and there are some surface wrinkles on the cover. Inside the pages are clean and flat, no mildew or warping. You should have seen him, knee-deep in water, saving the library of technical books as quickly as possible.
