Book cover is ripped down the front hinge of the spine from about half an inch from the botom to about an inch and an half from the top. There is some shelf wear at the top of the spine and the bottom. The front and back covers are in very good condition. The pages are tight. Text is clean. This was from the research library of Humble Oil and Refining Company, Houston Texas. Most recently in the private collection of a retired research engineer. First Publication of this translation.AUerbach's Prefce was written in 1921, this translation by H.C. Booth was published in 1925. Magnetism presented for the more general reader.306 pages.

The 1941 Rider manual for an early Oscilloscope. From the collection of a leading 20th century scientist. The author has this book "Dedicated to Florence who is still patient." After a life with an electrical inventor, i can see why Mr. Rider would need to apologise to poor Florence, who must have been patient indeed. This book has been in a flood @ 1960. perhaps more than one (there were three while the City of Tulsa got their act together with the sanitary sewer system). The owner carefully strung all the techincal books out in the sun on the clothesline, and some were pressed in book press. this one was carefully dried, but not pressed. 243 pages, secure in the spine. There are wrinkles on the cover where the cloth has slipped from wet glue. There is no mildew on the interior, which is as clear as ever it was before the flood.
